Not long ago I was out walking in the local park on a sunny day when I come across an attractive women in her mid 40s who had the most amazing legs and I approached her and started up a conversation just general general chit chit stuff.

And then I picked my moment to comment that she had amazing feet she was wearing very light sandles.

My comment really took her by surprise which is exactly what I intendended it to do her reply was...

"What you like my feet?"

Which give me the opening I had been waiting for to start flirting with her.

Yep my reply come right out of the cheese box...

"You have really fine and elegant feet they are connected to the rest of you."

I was smiling as I said this and gazing into her eyes.

She looked at her feet admiring them saying 

"Wow no one has ever said that to me before."

And the rest is a very pleasent history.

Now if you know anything about flirting you will know that in the short moment I established an Emotional Anchor with this women which is being suggestive sexually without being overtly overpowering sexually like most men are or as other men do no sexual assertiveness at all.

Now as with many other aspects of life the psychology of flirting is fairly simple in theory and more complex in its application so let us examine the concepts underlying the psychology of flirting before looking at how they would apply in practice.
 
The psychology of flirting is logical and not rational.

We humans like to picture ourselves as being rational individuals who make thoughtful decisions by exercising our free will and that picture is not entirely true as science learns more about human nature we increasingly discover that a lot of our behaviours are at least partly hard wired into our nervous systems.

The simplest example would be eating. 

Are we all rational and thoughtful eaters?

Not based on the statistics for obesity. 

In a culture obsessed with being slender no one would choose to be obese other than guys training to become sumo wrestlers perhaps and yet if you head to the local mall this weekend, you will see a lot of very big people there.

How Nature shapes our appetites.

We eat because we get hungry and Nature has built in an appetite for food which is powerful enough that few people can resist it successfully for long as we are designed to want food regularly and to crave food if we have not eaten for some time.

We vary a bit from culture to culture in terms of what kind of food we crave and our appetite itself is built right into our nervous systems and it is quite compelling as that walk around your local mall will demonstrate.

Another obvious example would be having sex here also you can look to yourself for confirmation. 

Do you have an appetite for sexing... of course! 

That appetite is also built into your nervous system.

When you take a woman out on a first meet up listen to her talk and hang on her every word and spend a days salary to show her a good time is that because you truly enjoy spending money and listening to women talk? 

Probably not you are just working toward eventually you hope feeding your appetite for sexing.

Now let us look more specifically at women. 

In some ways they are similar to us men and in other ways they are quite different from us now let us home in on one of those special female traits... women have been designed to crave male attention.

Nature has designed woman to crave male attention and the more the better!

Women enjoy male attention not just when it leads to good things  like money... status or great sexing also male attention for its own sake that craving is hard wired into their nervous systems.

If we had to guess why women evolved that way the reason would be that they are likely to get the best possible price in this case meaning highest quality mate in an auction type negotiation and for there to be a bidding war to drive that price up it is necessary to have multiple bidders which in this case means many suitors and the more men there are competing for her at any one time the more likely it will be that the winning male will be of high quality. 

And to ensure that this happens often Nature has designed woman to crave male attention the more the better and therefore to actively solicit it.

Because that is why women are so selective they want the best possible genes from a male at the biological level.

Because Nature also designed women to be selective about which men they have sexing with. 

In that regard women can only have a small number of children in their lifetimes so it is important that each of those children be fathered by the best male she can attract at the time.

In other words she will get the best outcome if she can attract a very large number of eager contestants to compete vigorously for her and the fact that there will be so few winners will make it very difficult to attract lots of competing suitors.

Ask some trusted friends for their honest opinions and find out what kind of vibes you give across whenever you speak to people and ask them to be SPECIFIC and if they say you seem unapproachable or nervous ask WHY they say that. 

Do you tap your feet a lot? 

Are you incapable of keeping eye contact?

Also look at yourself in a mirror and make sure you are socially engaged as you do this otherwise this will not help and make sure you watch how you talk and what gestures you make next time you are on the phone for example... 

Whether you are talking to a potential date or a friend it will definitely help and watch what you look like during your conversation.

Maybe you obsessively play with your hair or constantly stand all slumped and nothing beats self observation to fix your images kinks remember that.

As a side note crossing your ankles is the body language equivalent of biting your lip this will merely make you look fidgety and anxious so avoid doing it.
